French General talk

Jullie kennen vast wel de quilt 'Celine'. gemaakt door de Dekenstikster, een mooie ode aan de geweldige stoffen van French General. En wat was de verrassing groot toen ik de ontwerpster en eigenaresse van French General Kaari Meng emailde over deze quilt. Ze antwoordde met hele aardige email die ik graag met jullie wil delen!
You must know the quilt 'Celine'. Being made by De Dekenstikster, it is a beautiful contribution to the wonderfull fabrics of French General. And what a suprise when I emailed the French General designer and owner Kaari Meng about this quilt. She reply-ed with a very nice email and I want it to share it with you!

What a beautiful quilt - thank you so much for sending me a picture of your handiwork! I am amazed at some of the beautiful work people are making with our lines - it is so exciting to see people around the world getting so excited about our French rural florals, checks and stripes.
I am on my way to Quilt Market in Minneapolis next week - where we will be introducing our new line, Maison de Garance - a collection filled with old reds, tea and deep chocolate colors. I love it! I also just saw the strike offs for our Petite Ecole line - a small children's collection with printed alphabets and old French school book images - all in shades of old reds, dusty French blues and greys.
I am really enjoying designing fabric with Moda - so thank you for letting me know all of the quilters in the Netherlands are enjoying sewing with it!

Kijk eens wat een mooie dingen er nog aan komen. Ik kan niet wachten om het te zien! Dat bedankje is dus voor alle French General-enthousiastelingen. Trouwens, we hebben een heleboel Rural Jardin stoffen in de winkel.
